We recently hosted our annual Bastille Day Wine Dinner to celebrate all things French and what a spectacular night it was.
Our Wine Cub members went all out for the occasion! Sporting their best French stripes and berets, they were ready to embrace an extravagant five course French feast prepared by Head Chef, Elton Inglis.
From lobster squid ink tagliatelle with Australian truffle, to braised pork cheek with diamond clams, confit duck leg, lamb wellington and Roquefort cigar, the menu for the night was nothing short of decadent.
As this was an extra special dinner, our award-winning Head Sommelier, Andres Aragon, also wowed everyone with his impressive French wine list and knowledge.
Featuring a premium selection of great vintages from famed regions like Alsace, Burgundy, Rhone Valley and Bordeaux, each with an amazing bottle aged character, it’s safe to say our guests were beyond thrilled!
Our wonderful host for the night was none other than Troy Parry, our General Manager of Tourism Services, who kept guests entertained and laughing throughout the dinner with his charismatic commentary and anecdotes.
Troy also declared an impromptu BEST DRESSED competition towards the end of the evening and lined up all the top contenders on stage.
With Sydney’s magical sunset and sparkling night lights as the backdrop, this was no doubt another memorable wine dinner filled with French vibes, excellent company, and of course, fantastic food and wine.
